We've got the golden ticket!

After opening many bars of chocolate and continuously calling the South African Consulate on the telephone to huff, "Daddy, I want it now" (while stomping my foot and trying to steal golden eggs from geese…or fighting of squirrels for their nuts (depends which Willy Wonka version you subscribe to)) – WE GOT OUR VISA!

Willy Wonka references aside, Dereje and I are incredibly excited about getting his visa. It's been about a seven month process, but (now that it's over) we can say that it was well worth the wait!

To celebrate, we went to eat some great Indian food and then went to see a movie, The Borne Ultimatum in Gaborone (which I highly recommend). All in all it was a perfect date night, but mostly because we knew that we had our visa in our hot little hands (and by that I mean stowed away in the trunk of the car even though we considered running out to the car even in the middle of the movie just to check to see that it was okay)! We're excited!
