Cousins to dress up with
Ana and Emery are very entertaining to Saba...and now that Saba can do more than just sit on her mommy's lap and nurse...Saba is now, very entertaining to Emery and Ana. Especially when Saba starts digging into the dress up clothes.
And then Ana gets into the dress up clothes.
And Emery just can't resist...and has to find his own dress up style...

We're in Lubbock, Texas this week!
And...yeah, Saba's having a blast.
She's got cousins, new toys and her Aunt and Uncle, not to mention her Nana Maureen and Aunt Jaime - she even has fairy wings!

Dear Saba (aka my 10 1/2 month old),
Truth be told, right now you are 10 1/2 months old...so I am about a 1/2 month late in writing this post, but you seem cool with my tardiness.
Saba, in a word, you are AWESOME. You have such a little personality of your own. You love to smile at people...in fact, you grin like an idiot at strangers until they acknowledge your smile and give you a smile back...you're kind of demanding like that. You're pretty big about not wasting a smile by not having anyone notice it!
You have a lot of friends that you really enjoy playing with. Most of them are your own age...so, you guys used to sit around like lumps together, but now you are all crawling ALL over one another and taking each others toys...it's pretty darn cute to see you all grow up together.
One of your favorite things to play with is your kitchen. You play with it at all times of the day...whether you're dressed or not...that's just how you roll.
And you love to show all of your friends the different ways to play with the kitchen...you've basically figured everything out about it...how to stand on it...how to cook with it...how to rearrange it - yeah, you're slightly obsessed (and mommy's obsessed with putting it all back in order at the end of the day)!
You've even learned how to eat wooden eggs! Not many kids can say that!
Just so you know...when you're older looking back at your childhood...I'd like you to know that I CAN'T GO ANYWHERE without people fawning all over you. Whether we're in the store or at the museum people rave about how beautiful you are. And boy, you are BEAUTIFUL. But when it's just you and I, and we're doing our bath routine for the night...I still love to pat your head and tell you that you're just my scruffy little mutt (I don't want your head to get TOO big).
You are my scruffy little mutt...and you couldn't be MORE BEAUTIFUL to me. Thanks for being my amazing baby. Love, Mama

No scene here
Yes, I have been on a blogging hiatus...no, it is not because of anything especially crazy going on, it's just that I have been extremely lazy about posting - AND, in my defense, I am on my work computer all of the time which does not have cute pictures for me to "blog" about - so that's my excuse. Because I can think of no better way to announce that "I am back" - I will simply write a long overdue Saba post and act as though I have no idea what you're talking about when you say, "where have you been????"....to tide you all over here's a cute picture of Saba...you can drool over that while I busily type in the corner screaming, "no scene here"!
