Spring Training

On Friday Dereje and I were offered some tickets to a Spring Training game - The Cleveland Indians vs The Oakland A's...Dereje and were routing for both teams (as the mere presence of both teams allowed us to drink beer outside on a Friday afternoon) - Saba was rooting for all of the spectators sitting around us to notice how adorable she was (which they did).
There's nothing like hanging out on a sunny afternoon trying to explain baseball to a foreigner - especially when my limited knowledge of baseball doubled after a beer - if Dereje ever asks you if there really is a rule that they can't swing at the first pitch (it's bad luck) - just go with it.
