Dear Saba (a.k.a. my big 7th month old)

Whoa. Seven months. Whoa. I can proudly say that after 6 months of living solely on the breast you have happily graduated to playing and/or eating any food you can get your hands on. You've clearly made your choice of "favorite food" - it's avocado. You're absolutely in love with the green mess it makes and you love the squishy feel all over your hands. It's basically your idea of heaven...green, squishy heaven. You also love some peas in your life. Mostly because I leave you alone and let you have at them. They're slippery little suckers, but once you catch one and eat it you're pretty impressed with yourself. This past month you've basically come alive with energy. You are a talking machine. The constant "dadadadada" that comes from your mouth is adorable and, yet, drives me slightly crazy. I often have to resist the urge to slap you up the back side of your head and say "spit it out" or "what else you got?" - but I resist because I am an AWESOME mother and I'm well aware that soon enough you will be talking up a storm and I'm going to wish you would spend a day or two saying "dadadadada" and cooing adorably at me. Don't you just want to pinch those cheeks and kiss them for hours on end? I just described my Tuesdays.
This month you've also really upped your desire to be, ahem, properly entertained. A "push" around the living room on Mr. Quacky really gets you excited...as long as Grandma Didi is doing the pushing and Papa Bruce is clicking pictures - I think it's the hubbub that you really enjoy!
This past month we've been able to go outside a lot more and do things in your stroller. You now love to go on walks. Pretty much every day you walk with Papa Bruce around the neighborhood as he gets the mail and visits with neighbors! Grandma Didi usually walks you over to a little patch of grass and lets you run your feet over the green blades - you're a huge fan of "walking" on grass.
You're basically a lady of leisure from the 18th century who loves wearing hats!
Thanks for being my beautiful baby, I sure am proud to be your Mama!
