Where have we been?

I never really thought breastfeeding would look like this-Here's the reason I look like this nursing...
Take a look at this guy.Sure, to you it may look like a typical picture of Emery...looking all cute and cuddly and ever so slightly Ethiopian - but you would be deceived if you thought all of the above. Instead of this being a cute picture of Emery this is really a picture of a big, kinda-walking, all sorts of crawling GERM (with yellow snot and all). So, our game plan for the last couple of days has been to keep Emery from slobbering all over his new baby cousin so that she still keeps that new car scent on her for just a little while longer...it sorta worked.
Of course, since I was busy avoiding Emery like the plague and carrying Saba with me every time I could snatch her away from Megan... Dereje was the one left to play with Emery and to basically suck up all of the germs in Emery's entire body. So, Dereje has been really really sick for the last couple of days!

Not only can you see the congestion that is consuming Dereje here but you can actually also see all of the little germs jumping off of Emery onto Dereje - trust me!
This all means that for the last couple of nights I have been a "single mom" because we decided it was best for Dereje to sleep in the spare bedroom until his contagiousness seems to have disappeared. At first I was slightly nervous at this prospect but then I remembered that in all honesty Saba has to be the easiest baby EVER! She "meows" (I totally thinks she sounds like a cat) when she wants to nurse and other than that she sleeps a whole lot. She's also a fantastic cuddler which is a definite plus in my book!
All in all other than the fact that Saba's daddy is sicker than a dog (but on the mend) we are all doing fantastically! We even found time this weekend to have a baptism (post to come) - I have to say doing a baptism at 6 days old is not the easiest thing in the world...but Saba tends to make it look like a cake walk!
