On Saturday, September 5th 2008 Saba was baptized at the church where Dereje and I were married and by the same priest. Saba was absolutely beautiful wearing the same baptism dress made by my Aunt that I wore when I was baptized.
Of course every baptism wouldn't be complete without a big carrot cake from Costco courtesy of Grandma Didi!
The best part was that Megan (Saba's Godmother) and Ayalneh (Dereje's brother and Saba's Godfather) and his wife all got to fly out to Phoenix to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Saba loved meeting her Aunt and Uncle - but in all honesty she found the entire baptism experience somewhat exhausing! What with all of the going out to eat and people "oohing" and "aahing" all over her!
