Saba and her Mama Lena

Last Sunday Saba, myself, and my mom went to visit my Grandparents. I love it when Saba goes to visit them because she basically gets gushed all over while they get to see how big she's getting. We have visited my Grandparents three times since Saba has been born, so they can now officially declare her "huge" - unlike EVERY stranger we see on our daily outings who loves to say "she's so tiny"- which she isn't.
I think that only a mother can take offense to the declaration "she's so tiny" - why don't people realize that comment sounds like "she's malnourished" or "she's not thriving"! I think that from now on I will declare to every adorable baby I see, "she's so healthy looking"!
I'm sure I'm just being sensitive but sometimes when people tell me how tiny she is I want to pull her leg our of her sling and show them the awesome rolls that cover her legs - that's cute until she's like 12, right?

I completely agree and vow to also always be someone who says things like "oh wow, he/she looks so happy" or "He/She is just perfect."

HA! okay, that was me (Megan) leaving that comment, not Eric. I am sure Eric's comment would have been more along the lines of "who cares what other people think" while shrugging his shoulders.

That would be funny if Eric really typed all that though...what a softy.

okay, last one I promise....When I told Eric I left a comment under his name he said "Yes! Was it witty?" "Not so much" I answered..."it was heartfelt and understanding."

"Was it about breastfeeding?" He asked in a disgusted tone while walking away. From the other room I could hear "Why don't you take a nursing holiday with Saba...that will get your supply right back up."

I am still laughing.
