Ethiopian dancing requires pretty much only moving your shoulders…which I find fairly impossible without moving my hips! There was dancing, there was eating, and there were lots of friends.

Our Engagement Party
A week ago Dereje and I had our engagement party. It was really great! We had some of Dereje's friends and some of my friends (fewer of my friends cause we're spread all over the country) for a celebration dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant! There aren't really any Ethiopian restaurants here but there is a woman who cooks out of her house…and the food is amazing. Plus it was our own private area so there was plenty of room for dancing.

Beautiful! Wish we could have been with you to celebrate, but will look forward to Dereje teaching us to dance when we get there in a few weeks!
