Andy picking up trash that a donkey had played with all over our yardIt's always a little scary when a bunch of Peace Corps volunteers get together. We tend to walk around in a pack, speak English a bit louder than we usually do, and draw a lot of attention. We spent this last week doing an intensive language study in Palapye. It was great being around everyone. We spoke a lot of Setswana, made some nice dinners and even found time to pick up the trash that the Donkeys would go through during the night….these donkeys are sneaky I tell you…they know how to open a gate if it's not locked and they know how to turn the water taps are in the yard. A lot of my friends continue to call these guys a nuisance but I have become increasingly impressed with their cunning and ability to make a mess out of just about anything!
