A Mother's Day to Remember!

With Saba, life is like one big parade - basically, we wave at ANYTHING that moves...or anything that breathes...or anything that looks like a rock...simply put, she waves at EVERYTHING! Amazingly, Saba has been waiving at things since she was around 4 months - so, she's kind of a pro.
When we took Saba down to my parents' pool this weekend she was pretty busy waving at the waterfall and all of the kids - it was her idea of heaven.
And it was my idea of heaven because I got to spend the afternoon with my beautiful baby and my wonderful husband in the sun (oh yeah, we also drank cocktails by the pool...Dereje and I did...not Saba...she drank milk...and let it spill down her chin).
Best of all Saba was highly entertained by Daddy's impression of a shark - a really goofy shark (oh, and Dad if you recognize the swimsuit Dereje's wearing...thanks! we couldn't find his).

All in all it was a very sucessful day at the pool - which got even better when we came home to find my brother, Alex, had made homemade mac 'n cheese for dinner! A dinner that Saba truly appreciated!

My fantastic Mother's Day weekend was sooooo nice - especially when Dereje and Saba woke me up on Sunday morning with....not breakfast...even better - a beautiful diamond necklace. Can you imagine anything better than waking up to THAT necklace - and THIS face
Thank you to my beautiful family for a wonderful Mother's Day!

Just look at that little chunky monkey. She is sooooo cute. (must be that mac-n-cheese) And that laugh. Oh my goodness I just want to pinch her cheeks off.
Hope your day was special. I'm sure it was.
