Dearest Saba (a.k.a my huge 9 month old)

Oy! You're 9 months! And you're back up to the 15 percentile with your weight! What's not to love? I mean, my gosh, look how pinchable your thighs are! Your thigh chub gets highlighted nicely on a daily basis cause you now basically live in a swimsuit. And eat watermelon - you're apparently a HUGE fan of summerOne of your favorite things to do is to putter around on the top step of the pool. You are a crazy splasher and you love to touch the rough floor of the step. This month we found an awesome deal on a play kitchen for you - yes, you are a bit young for a play kitchen - but you sure manage to have some fun with it. You like to take all of the dishes out of the dishwasher...and put them in your mouth - and then you like to take all of the saucepans off of the stove...and put them in your mouth - and then you take the pizza out of the oven and the birthday cake out of the fridge...and put them in your mouth - all of this leads me to believe that the people who say you're not old enough for a play kitchen are full of hooey - you totally get it - everything in the kitchen goes directly into your mouth. Yes, you will spend your entire adult life trying to train yourself to NOT DO THIS - but, for now, have at it!
This Month we celebrated Daddy's 33rd Birthday! You got to watch him blow out his candlesWe had a really nice dinner outside with Grandma Didi, Papa Bruce, and Uncle Alex. Uncle Alex made his famous mint chicken with a spicy kick (just the way Daddy likes it). We all enjoyed it!
You feasted on Ritz crackers and rice (get some more teeth and then we'll talk about you partaking in mint chicken)Thank you for an awesome month and thank you for being my wonderful little muffin head!
Love, Mama

She is so cute! Just curious how much she weighs? Peyton is still a peanut. I can't even turn her car seat around cause she doesn't weigh 20lbs. yet. And she's 14 months! By the way, the kitchen is really cool. I never seen one like that.

Saba weighs 17 lbs 10 ounces - she's gained about 3 lbs in the last month and 1/2! I can't wait until we get to the "20lb turn the seat around stage"!!!!

The new recommendation is to keep them rear facing as long as possible. I really don't want to do this because I want Brooke to be able to see everything! And, it is 20 lbs AND one year.

Love the blog. Brooke is tan too, oops!

Yeah, 20lbs AND 1 year can't come soon enough! We're pretty excited about that.
Saba actually sports this "tan" year round! I think she gets it from her Daddy! :)
