The Day of the Dead (El Día de los Muertos)

Some people celebrate the day after Halloween by dancing and having a big feast to honor their family and friends who have passed. Saba likes to celebrate by eating a croissant the size of her face.



Then she loved watching this woman dance at the Desert Botanical Gardens...
Until she realized that I would then allow THAT woman and her husband hold my bundle of joy for the sake of a really cute picture (note the look of fear and incredulousness in Saba's gaze).We then moved on to visit the "alters" of some of those who have passed.
Saba particularly liked the woman sunbathing and drinking a beer (I, personally, made a mental note of how I might like to be remembered...vices and all).Of course, since we were at the Botanical gardens we did manage to find the time to stop and smell some rosemary.
All in all it was very memorable El Dia de los Muertos...and a fantastic Sunday.
