So, Saba and I have started going to Mommy and me yoga. It's great because it's filled with all of the women that I did prenatal yoga with...so it's not like we have to make NEW friends (god forbid). The consensus yesterday was basically, "where the heck have you guys been" - I mumbled something about Thanksgiving, a bad cold, and random trips to Lubbock but I was soon drowned out by the cheering of a bunch of mothers as one of the babies rolled over.
Hmm, I thought to myself, we've never tried that. In fact, time out of my arms is so scarce around here that Saba's face was basically covered in PANIC when I put her on the ground and EXPECTED HER TO WATCH ME DO YOGA (In my defense there was a lot of song singing and finger waving, which entertained Saba for a while until she remembered that SHE WASN'T IN MY ARMS).
All in all Saba and I had a great yoga class and we had a wonderful time catching up with friends! We also decided to do a little test run this morning:
First I put Saba on her stomach:

Then I got a close-up of her face (just cause I can't resist her munchkin-like ways):

Then, suddenly, Saba flipped over onto her back:

And stared at me in utter delight as I declared her brilliant (this is Saba's "utter delight" look, not to be mistaken with her "what the heck am I doing on my back when I was just on my stomach" look):

So, basically, that's how we do milestones around here...no fuss, no muss, just total disregard until one day Saba does it on her own. I totally expect to completely ignore the whole reading thing so that when she's three she'll crawl up on my lap and read me a story.
