Ever since
Dereje came to the States he has been loving the fact that he can go out running every night. He says that he loves the fact that when he goes running there are always lots of other people running too. In Botswana we always complained that going out to exercise was difficult because everyone always stares and makes it very uncomfortable to exercise. So, in order to really acclimate
Dereje to the running lifestyle here I thought it would be a good idea to get him used to a jogging stroller...so that he can join the masses of stroller runners.
Dereje loves it, Ana sure loves "going for a run," and Megan and I definitely love having about a half an hour to make dinner without a two year old putting her input in on how much salt to use and what kind of protein sounds good.

Ana's favorite part of the whole run is that she has her Uncle
Dereje at her beck 'n call. If she wants pretzels...she's got them. If she wants her water...she's got it. If she wants to travel in an easterly direction...no problem. The only unfortunate thing is that if Ana decides after 5 minutes that she wants to come home...
Dereje decides that he is compelled to comply. It's kind of scary giving a two year old THAT much power!
